In order to have legal pot, we had to have high levels of transparency. In WA state, our transparency is so high, we are providing enough public information that robbers almost have the key to the candy store. The problem is SO bad, that the WA State Patrol now has a 10-man unit whose sole purpose is this type of crime.
Not only does this hurt the hard-working business owners, it creates a black market to which our children have access. I believe adults should have this choice in their life, but in a PROPER sales setting with licensed and regulated distribution. Not on the street. This is dangerous for kids and stealing revenue from businesses AND the state.
We need to follow the lead of OR and CO which both have high levels of transparency, but not so much that it provides a map to stall.
